Apple Ginger Simple Syrup Recipe

To make an apple ginger simple syrup you actually have to make 2 syrups and then combine them.

Ginger Syrup
First let’s start with the ginger syrup. Grate and peel 2-3 large pieces of ginger. I know, I didn’t want to peel them at first either but trust me, it pays off. Then start 3 cups of water boiling. Once boiling, mix in 2 cups of dark brown sugar. Once the sugar is absorbed, add the ginger and boil about another 3 minutes. Set aside and move on to the next part.

Apple Syrup
Find an apple cider that you really like. Put 4 cups of it in a pan and bring to a boil. Add 1 cup of brown sugar to the cider and continue to boil until the sugar is gone and there’s only about 2.5 cups of cider left. Cool to room temp.

Now that both syrups are done it’s time to mix. Combine both syrups in a bottle (an old booze bottle will do), shake and enjoy.

We really enjoyed this with bourbon, rye, rum and vodka. You can create an apple mule with this recipe or an apple presbyterian.

Christmas Mule

Cocktail Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Cranberry Rum
Top with Ginger Beer
Lime wedge
Fresh cranberries

Instructions:
Pour cranberry rum into a collins glass, fill with ginger beer, stir and garnish with lime wedge and cranberries.

Vampire’s Bite

Cocktail Ingredients:
1.5 oz. blueberry/pomegranate vodka
2 oz. lemonade
1 oz. pomegranate juice
lime juice

Instructions:
Shake and strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a lime and enjoy your favorite vampire movie or show.

Kiwi – Cilantro Mojito

Cocktail Ingredients:
4 sprigs of cilantro
4 mint leaves
1/4 lime
1 peeled and halved kiwi
1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tbsp. water
2 oz. rum
club soda

Instructions:
Muddle kiwi, cilantro and mint together. Add rum and ice then fill with club soda. Garnish with lime.

Cilantro-Mango Margarita

Cocktail Ingredients:
3 slices fresh, ripe mango
Pinch of ground chili pepper
2 slices fresh lime
4 sprigs of cilantro
Crushed ice
1.5 oz tequila
Splash orange juice

Instructions:
Muddle mango, chili pepper, cilantro and lime together then add tequila. Shake and serve with a lime garnish.

Irish Ale Cocktail

The Irish version of a Moscow Mule:

Cocktail Ingredients:
2 oz. Irish Whiskey
3 lime wedges
3 oz. Ginger Beer

Instructions:
In a highball glass pour Irish Whiskey over ice, squeeze lime and top with ginger beer.

Green Dublin Apple Cocktail

Cocktail Ingredients:
2 oz Irish whiskey
1 oz sour apple schnapps
2 oz white cranberry juice

Instructions:
Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a fresh apple slice.

Cupid’s Kiss

Cocktail Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Irish Cream
1/2 oz. dark creme de cocoa
1 oz. amaretto
Hot chocolate
Whipped Cream
Hershey’s Kiss

Instructions:
Pour all of the alcohol in a mug and top with hot chocolate. Add whipped cream to the top and garnish with the Hershey’s Kiss

Old Rose Daiquiri

Cocktail Ingredients:
2 Dark rum
1 tsp. sugar
Lime juice
Strawberry syrup
2 Strawberries

Instructions:
Pour all ingredients and ice into a blender and blend till ice is crushed. Serve in a daiquiri or martini glass.

Snow Cap

Cocktail Ingredients:

1 oz Kahlua Peppermint Mocha
1 oz Vanilla vodka
1 oz hot chocolate

Instructions:

Mix ingredients together in tall glass coffee cup, top with whipped cream.
