Cocktail Ingredients:

1 tsp. Sugar
1 pat of Butter
2 Cloves
Boiling Water
Instructions:
Place sugar, Rum, and cloves in coffee cup or mug.
Fill with boiling water.

Originating in the early 1800′s the Old Fashioned may be the first drink to be called a cocktail. It is traditionally served in a short glass now called an Old Fashioned glass.
Cocktail Ingredients:
2 ounces rye whiskey
1 sugar cube
3 dashes Angostura bitters
club soda
Instructions:
Place the sugar cube in an Old-Fashioned glass. ADD 2 or 3 dashes of Angostura bitters and a splash of water or club soda. Crush the sugar with a wooden muddler OR strong spoon. Rotate the glass so that the sugar grains and bitters give it a lining. Add a large ice cube. Pour in the rye (or bourbon). Serve with a stirring rod. Garnish with an orange slice or cherries.

Instructions:
Start with a layer of creme de menthe, add a layer of Galliano and top with a layer of dark brandy. Add a sprinkling of nutmeg.
Invented in the early 1900′s and was popular until the beginning of World War II, the sidecar has been making a comeback. Sidecars come using a variety of liquors, brandy, gin, vodka and irish whisky, but cognac is the original.
Cocktail Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. VS or VSOP cognac
3/4 oz. Cointreau
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass with a sugared rim.
Garnish with an orange peel.
Punch Ingredients:
6 cups apple cider
2 cups cranberry/raspberry juice
1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine
1/2 cup lemon juice
Instructions:
In punch bowl combine apple cider, orange juice, and lemon juice. When ready to serve, add champagne. Chill with large ice blocks. Makes about about 15 servings of 6 ounces each.

Mix all ingredients with cracked ice in a shaker or blender. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

1 fifth Cognac
8 Eggs
1 pint Heavy Cream
1 quart Milk
1/2 pound Sugar
Instructions:
Beat yolks and whites of eggs separately.
Add sugar to egg whites and beat until stiff.
Combine yolks and whites and mix thoroughly.
Add Cognac.
Beat mixture.
Add cream and milk.
Mix.
Chill well.
Serve with a light sprinkling of nutmeg.

Hard Cider
1 tsp. Powdered Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 cup Milk
Instructions:
Shake well all but Cider with cracked ice and strain into collins glass.
Fill with Cider.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
