Martini Recipe


Invented in the late 1800’s, the martini is a versatile drink that can have many different flavors added to it. A true martini is made with gin although some make it with vodka and still call it a martini, it should be called a vodkatini.

Here’s the recipe for the classic cocktail:

Cocktail ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Gin
Dash (1/8 oz) Dry Vermouth

Stir well (or shake if you like it James Bond style) and strain
a martini glass. Garnish with an olive or two and/or a twist of lemon.

Moscow Mule

Made famous in the vodka craze in the 50’s, the Moscow Mule is a refreshing drink.

Cocktail ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Lime Juice
Top with Ginger Beer

Pour vodka and lime juice into a collins glass half filled with ice, fill with ginger beer, stir, garnish with a slice of lime.


The favorite drink of the Rat Pack, the Manhattan packs a delicious punch! It’s an easy recipe and a classic drink.

Cocktail ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
1 Dash Bitters (Angostura or Peychaud’s Orange Bitters)

Stir (or shake, your choice) with cracked ice and strain into a lowball glass/ old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a cherry.
